Infinite Dao
Infinite Dao is an idle incremental game inspired by Chinese fantasy novels (Wuxia/Xianxia).
You begin as a common mortal, living a short and fragile life. By studying professions and martial techniques, you accumulate experience and wealth. However, time is relentless.
The core mechanic is the **Samsara (Loop) System**: Upon dying of old age, you can use a mysterious Amulet to turn back time. You keep your memories (XP multipliers based on max levels reached) and can unlock permanent talents in the Cultivation Tree.
Features:
• Career Paths (Common, Military, Sect)
• Qi Cultivation & Immortality Techniques
• 9 Realms of Cultivation (from Mortal to Immortal)
• Permanent Talent Tree
• Immortals Island with Missions & Artifacts
BETA VERSION 2.0

Something small that I would like a lot would be to pause the game 1 day before dying... that will allow us to buy cultivation bonuses instead of being forced to reset, it makes the idle part of the game be more useful
Hi, no problem, the next update will have a new upgrade that will do that! Thanks for playing =D
i played this game to what i believe is the end of current content, or at least without some pushing. 25 billion for the next breakthrough might be possible but would be difficult without the pills i think.
balance is good so far, gameplay is fun. a bit of automation or UI simplification for ease of seeing the levels and their effects might be nice, i found myself having trouble seeing what was under-leveled later in the game. there seems to be no practical reason to get beggar or any of the lower level jobs to 100 besides letting me level them half a second faster. maybe a boost besides their own speed would be nice?
i think there is a math error with how the lifespan herbs work. it might be that they are only adding based on my normal life not extended number, becuase i had over 1000 years and took the herb that gave 1.1x life and it extended me maybe like... 3 years or something very very small. much smaller than the 100 i was expecting.
organizing the inventory would be nice. lifespan, exp, qi boost, and rarity is good but would be helpful for seeing which is the best for each type.
also having the toxicity gauge on the item consume page would be super useful. like super super useful. so i dont have to keep cycling pages to see its causing toxicity.
maintaining the 95% shutoff through restarts would be nice. mine turns itself off.
when i mentioned UI changes, i mean the ability to make all the boxes much smaller. they are so large that i have to scroll even if i zoom out far.
oh and can the effects of the inventory items be visible without hovering over them? they have nice descriptions visible but not what they actually do without hovering.
overall a fantastic game i loved it, just my 2 cents on my experiences.
Hi, everything alright? Thanks for playing the game! You've come a long way in the game, there aren't many things to do yet, but I'll update it soon.
Regarding level 100 unlocking something, I do intend to do something different with them reaching that level, maybe unlocking some world missions.
Oh, I'll fix the herb mechanics, I'll change their effects a bit. I was testing it, if it works correctly it will make the lifespan absurdly high.
I will redo the inventory system to make it easier to understand. I'm working on a rebalancing of the pills and I'll take the opportunity to make changes based on your suggestions, thank you.
Oh, I'll make sure the Safety Protocol isn't turned off unless you disable it.
I also felt that the boxes are too big when I tested other games, I'll study a way to make them better.
With the inventory overhaul, I'll make it possible to see the effects without hovering the mouse over them.
Thank you so much for your comment and suggestions! I'm glad you enjoyed the game =D
thanks for the reply. i hope you are having fun making this lovely game
I realy enjoy the game. But after Starting with the Qi Condensation is it still possible to reach the house?
Hi, everything alright? I was doing the tests here and yes, did any error occur?
I hope this game will get love and updates. The start is quite nice.
Just the fact we rewind time is bad i think because the immortal theme is very friendly with reincarnation. We could just reincarnate into the next life and will justify to have some kind of legacy for next lifes.
As we reincarnate we could build some better root for next lifes, legacy, etc
Also sect, which could include the spirit veins, gardens, spirit tree could be interesting to build in. And since only us die, the sect can still be there to welcome us for the next life. Although we would loose the ownership of the gardens we may planted, the spirit veins and spirit tree developped will remains allowing us to get respectively higher base qi cultivation and higher level fruits for refining.
Spirit forest/alchemy/sect/home activity feel bad. having to stop everything else is not great. maybe you could get inspiration from groundhog life and let me spread our daily time between differents tasks?
Another idea would be to have personal disciple/family that will farm herbs for us, etc.
Lastly, an enemy, some kind of treat that could shorten our life if we dont fight it and give us another aim.
Well, i wish you good luck with your developpement ! its quite nice already.
Hello, thank you for playing the game!
I was also thinking a bit about changing the Return to Reincarnation, seeing your comment gave me more certainty about it, I will work on it for the next update.
I really liked the idea of being able to leave things for your next life.
I loved the idea of gardens, spirit trees and spirit veins, I want to delve deeper into this Cult theme, make it fun.
I understand that having to stop everything to do other things like gathering herbs is annoying, my main idea is to make it so that with the upgrades to the cultivation tree, you can do them without pausing the game.
I loved the idea of having someone gather herbs for you, I will do this along with the remake of the Spirit Forest in the next update.
Regarding the enemy, I intend to do that, I'm still thinking about how to implement this Stats and combat system, but it will be there.
Thank you very much for the suggestions, I will do my best =D
Great ! Thanks for the reply, cant wait for the updates, when the game is more complete dont hesitate to put it on steam ;)
Came here looking for copper and i found gold
10/10
Thanks =D
I love the xianxia genre, and I'm surprised how few games there are that use it. I do have a few questions, though. Like, are there actually other 'gathering' areas aside from the Spirit Forest? I'm trying to train my alchemy, but I get the correct ingredients so slowly that even when I'm at Golden Core stage with 400 years of life, I don't think I'll be able to get my alchemy skill to level 10 so that I can start making better pills.
Hello, thank you for the feedback. Regarding other areas to acquire herbs, they don't exist in the game yet, but in Update 3, I'm planning to remake the Spirit Forest, making it more complex with levels. Also, regarding the alchemy levels, there will be a new permanent upgrade in the cultivation tree that will allow levels to continue through regression. Thank you for your comment! =D
